A fresh and upcoming singer-songwriter, Joy Heng, brings her listeners a fusion of pop and jazz music. She loves to use raw and acoustic instruments like trumpets, saxophones and strings in her music. Accompanying the instrumental is her catchy and sweet melodies that would get you hooked on her tunes for hours.

She is heavily influenced by Jazz, R&B and Pop music, musicians like Stevie Wonder, Michael Bublé, Allen Stone and Norah Jones. 

Beyond singing, playing the guitar and piano, Joy Heng produces, arranges and composes her music. She graduated from the Victorian College of Arts, University of Melbourne (Interactive Composition) in December 2017.


Before starting her singer-songwriter career, she played keyboards for Singapore artistes LEW, Theodora and Rachel Gay at prominent venues and events such as Esplanade and Clarke Quay.

Besides performing, Joy Heng has been actively participating as a sound designer in theatre shows such as Mongrel (VCA 2017), The Days in Between (FLW Theatre), Adrift in my Ocean of Sugar Tears(FLW Theatre) and Drowsy Chaperone (UMMTA). She has also volunteered at FOG theatre to assist intellectually disable adults in their performance practices.

Joy Heng recently released her new single “Dance in the Rain” along with a music video. Inspired by La La Land, the music video was taken in one single long take and features a story between two love birds a little white town. She is currently preparing for a new single that will be released in June 2018.
